On Wednesday, tens of thousands of people from around the world participated in an weird tomato fight called "Tomatina", in the eastern Spanish town of Bunol. In this annual event people cover each other with pulp and juice of over-ripe tomatoes
The "Tomatina" is supposed to have started in the 1940s when some friends had a food fight. It is held each year on the last Wednesday in August. This year, about 40,000 people took part in the event making it the World's Biggest Tomato Fight! The local authorities provided 120 tonnes of tomatoes for the fight.
