Take a look at the picture above. This is Crown Fountain, an interactive work of public art and video sculpture installed in Millennium Park, Chicago, United States. By using LEDs, the two towers in the fountain displays digital videos of Chicago residents.
The fountain is composed of a black granite reflecting pool placed between a pair of glass brick towers, that are 50 feet (15.2 m) tall. Throughout most of the warmer months (mid-spring through mid-fall each year), water intermittently cascades down the two towers of Crown Fountain spouts through a nozzle located on each tower's front face.
The Crown Fountain was designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa and it was opened for public in July 2004. Construction and design of the Crown Fountain cost $17 million. It is a favorite place of children and families.en you are in Chicago, don't forget to visit it!
