Originally conceived by Brady Clark and engineered by Mykle Hansen, Speed-Vest uses a sensor on bicycle wheel to send a signal to a microcontroller that then turns the numbers on and off on the vest. More about Speed-Vest here.
Speed-Vest has just won the Hub Bike Shop’s Bike Gadget Contest in Minneapolis, MN. The inventor thinks that it will help in increasing road safety. Well, the Speed Vest is not yet available commercially. Still, you can watch the video to see it working!
