Ever heard of the "Baby Jumping Festival"? First take a look at the pictures. They are real. Because it is a real festival that takes place in Castillo de Murcia near Burgos, every year since 1620. Also known as El Colacho (the devil's jump) in Spain, the Baby-Jumping Festival has been rated as one of the most dangerous in the world.
What actually happens in the "Baby Jumping Festival"? During this festival men dressed as the Devil (know as the Colacho) jump over infants laying on a blanket. People believe that this festival help to cleanse the babies of original sin, ensure them safe passage through life and guard against illness and evil spirits. But due to it's dangerous nature, Pope Benedict has asked priests in Spain to stay away from the Baby Jumping Festival.
