The World's Smallest Girl!

worlds_smallest_girl_Jyoti_Amge1

Take a look at the girl in the picture above. Her name is Jyoti Amge and she is currently the World's Smallest Girl! Born December 16, 1993, Jyoti is just 1ft 11 inches (58cm) tall and weighs only 11 pounds (5.25kg). Can you believe this?

worlds_smallest_girl_Jyoti_Amge3

Jyoti lives in Nagpur, India, with her family and enjoys a celebrity status in her home town. A result of Achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism, Jyoti is so small that her size is half the size of her two-year-old nephew. Take a look at the picture.

worlds_smallest_girl_Jyoti_Amge2

Jyoti is too small to use a normal sized knife and fork, so she eats off special plates, sleeps in a tiny, custom-built bed, and has to have her clothes and jewelry custom-made for her. Even bathing is done on a miniature scale, requiring specially-made steps to help her get into the tub and a small bucket and jug to wash herself. Jyoti goes to a regular school at Bhartiya Vidya Niketan in Nagpur, where her fellow classmates of her own age treat her as one of themselves as she sits at her custom built miniature desk and chair.

Jyoti is happy with her size and enjoys the celebrity status her height has brought her. "I am proud of being small. I love all the attention I get. I'm not scared of being small and I don’t regret it. I'm just the same as other people. I eat like you, dream like you. I don’t feel any different." she said.

Two sets of Black and White Twins

Two sets of Black and White Twins
The amazing black and white family: Parents Alison and Dean with (from left) Hayleigh holding Leah, and Lauren holding Miya

A mixed-race British couple have defied the odds by giving birth to black and white twins, not once, but twice. In 2001, Dean Durrant and Alison Spoonder welcomed their first set of black and white twins, two healthy baby girls. Now, after 7 years, the 27-year-old mother has given birth to a second set of twins with different coloured skin. Both sets of twins are fraternal rather than identical. Which means they are the product of two separately fertilized eggs.

The twins were born prematurely in November in Frimley, southern England, and spent several weeks in the hospital. However, both girls were born healthy, with Miya weighing 4lb lloz and Leah 5lb 10oz.They are now at home with their parents in Fleet, 40 miles (60 kilometers) southwest of London.

It is rare enough for two sets of twins to be born to the same parents, but the chances of them inheriting different skin and hair colour from their mother and father are just two in a million.

Secret Santa donates Toys worth £9 million

Secret Santa donates Toys worth £9 million
This year, Christmas arrived early in some UK hospitals! A secret Santa had donated Christmas gifts worth £9 million to children in UK hospitals. Several truckloads of toys have arrived at Birmingham Children's Hospital and more were delivered to about 20 different hospitals.

Tracy Marsh, director of fund-raising at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, said the christmas presents created a wonderful atmosphere when they arrived at the hospital, in Steelhouse Lane.

According to Daily Mail, a publisher in the East Midlands is delivering the goods and the donor wants to remain anonymous. The organizer is not doing this for publicity but to 'give something back' to society. This will definitely bring some happiness to children in hospitals.

The basics of goal setting involves deciding what you really want to do and what short term and long term goals you need to achieve it. Once you have your goal, you have to break down them into smaller and manageable targets.

Life and Our Emotions

Our emotions dominates most of our actions and reactions. Even though we don't want it to happen, in certain situations our emotions plays the important role. That's why the society often looks emotions as a bold sign of weakness and most people tries to put them aside while focussing on the rational aspects of life. But, can you really think about a life without any negative emotions? Can we ignore all our negative emotions and move on without any complications?

Well, I don't think so! From my own point of view, emotions are a part of our life and we must accept both positive and negative emotions. The point is how we accept them? I know, it is hard to accept and handle our negative emotions or feelings. But, life must go on and we can't let it stop because of some negative feelings.

So, what I basically do in case of negative emotions? I try to develop arouse some kind of positive emotions or positive feelings that subsequently covers up all my negative emotions and inspires me to go forward in life. in order to do that, I choose to do something new, something interesting. For example: starting a new collage or going out for scuba diving! these kinds of activities gives my some new tasks to accomplish and the excitement that arises from such tasks, alsways results in positive and good feelings, which is very very important for living a healthy life.

That was my simple tip on handling negative emotions. This is my own view and I hope this will help you in some way to handle your emotions. Life is beautiful, enjoy it's beauty. This is my motto. What's yours?

Sandy Allen, the World's tallest woman is no more. She died at the age of 53 on Wednesday, in an Indiana nursing home. Sandy Allen was 7-foot, 7-inch (2.32 metre) tall and was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the "World's Tallest Woman".

Allen was born on June 18, 1955, in Chicago. A tumour on her pituitary gland caused the abnormal growth of her height. She had surgery on the gland at age 22. In her later years, Allen used a wheelchair because her legs and back could not support her tall stature in a standing position. Yes, babies will be babies. Take a look at these two photographs. This baby is hungry and wants some milk. But, how could the baby understand that it is just a statue? It looks funny? But I think that it is more than funny and tells us that babies will be babies. We can't force them to learn something or to do something. Love in Life and Time

Love! What is Love? Different people has different views about Love. The word "Love" is my most favorite word. For me, the word "Love" means "something that keeps me going" in this World. Love shows me the path and gives me strength to go on.

About love of my life? I have one and only one - my Sweetheart. I don't know, how I fall in love with her. But I am sure that I fall! I am in love with her, for four long years. And day by day, my love for her is increasing. This is the power of love. What about you, my friend? I am sure that you are also in love!

Frankly speaking, we are very open to each other. This helps us in going more deeper into the world of romance and love! During our busy life, we never forget to give proper attention and care to each other. Because, in Love, time is the most crucial thing. At least once in a week, we go out for a romantic dinner. At least once in a month, we go out for a short vacation. And at least once in a year, we go for a long, exotic vacation. With proper understanding we can easily manage these romantic outings and trips. And that's why we are happy!

My friend, if you are facing some trouble in your love life, give importance to the 'time' factor. Give time to your partner and everything gonna be alright! I am telling this from my own experience. Love builds relationships. Be a good lover and give all your love to your partner. Never allow breakup kind of things to come into your love life. Life is beautiful, because Love is there. Mind it!

Entire Synthetic Genome created in lab

Scientists of J. Craig Venter Institute in Rockville, Maryland has announced that they have successfully created an entire synthetic genome in the laboratory. They did it by stitching together the DNA of Mycoplasma genitalium, the smallest known free-living bacterium. This success could lead to the "routine" creation of synthetic genomes, for the benefits of humankind. It will also help in creation of synthetic life in the lab!

This new achievement is an important second step in a three-step process to the creation of synthetic life, said research leader Hamilton Smith, a biologist and Nobel laureate at the J. Craig Venter Institute in Rockville, Maryland.

The first step, reported last year by the same team, was the successful transplantation of a genome from one species of bacteria into another, effectively switching the bug's identity. The team is now working on the third step. The third step in creation of synthetic life involves taking the chemically synthesized DNA, which is in the test tube, and putting it into a bacterium where it can take over and produce a synthetic cell.
