The World's Smallest Girl!

Take a look at the girl in the picture above. Her name is Jyoti Amge and she is currently the World's Smallest Girl! Born December 16, 1993, Jyoti is just 1ft 11 inches (58cm) tall and weighs only 11 pounds (5.25kg). Can you believe this?

Jyoti lives in Nagpur, India, with her family and enjoys a celebrity status in her home town. A result of Achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism, Jyoti is so small that her size is half the size of her two-year-old nephew. Take a look at the picture.

Jyoti is too small to use a normal sized knife and fork, so she eats off special plates, sleeps in a tiny, custom-built bed, and has to have her clothes and jewelry custom-made for her. Even bathing is done on a miniature scale, requiring specially-made steps to help her get into the tub and a small bucket and jug to wash herself. Jyoti goes to a regular school at Bhartiya Vidya Niketan in Nagpur, where her fellow classmates of her own age treat her as one of themselves as she sits at her custom built miniature desk and chair.

Jyoti is happy with her size and enjoys the celebrity status her height has brought her. "I am proud of being small. I love all the attention I get. I'm not scared of being small and I don’t regret it. I'm just the same as other people. I eat like you, dream like you. I don’t feel any different." she said.

OK! Magazine Jade Goody Tribute Issue!

Reality TV star Jade Goody, who is living her last few days battling cervical cancer at her residence in London, is already dead for an OK! magazine! The UK edition of OK! magazine already published a tribute issue for Jade Goody! Take a look at the image of the magazine front page.

Titled as "Jade Goody Official Tribute Issue", the March 17, 2009 issue carries the phrases "In Loving Memory" and "Jade Goody 1981-2009". The OK! UK issue, that went on sale on Tuesday, also contains a "World Exclusive" interview with Jade and many unseen pictures of the former TV reality-show star.

Do you think that it is appropriate to publish such a tribute issue when the person is still alive? We don't think that it is appropriate. In fact it is weird and only mad people can do something like this.

Dayana Mendoza: Miss Universe 2008

This is the face of new Miss Universe. On July 14, 2008, Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela has been crowned as the Miss Universe 2008 during the annual beauty pageant event held in central Vietnam's resort city Nha Trang.


Dayana's full name is Dayana Sabrina Mendoza Moncada and she was born on June 1, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a professional model. In 2001, Mendoza signed with Elite Model Management and modeled in different countries. On September 13, 2007, she was crowned as Miss Venezuela 2007.


Her Miss Universe prize package included cash, a year contract promoting Miss Universe, world travel, a rent-free, prestigious New York City flat, luxury apartment and a gift bag stuffed with designer shoes, dresses and beauty products, a $100,000 stipend for a 2-year course at the New York Film Academy and free access to famous fashion houses and beauty parlors. Yi So-yeon - First Korean Astronaut

The first astronaut from South Korea will be a woman. Yi So-yeon, a 29-year-old bioengineering student will fly on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station on April 8.

Yi was the government's second choice for the coveted seat and got the assignment only after Russian officials accused Ko San, the man first chosen for the flight, of repeatedly violating training rules. The South Korean Government is paying the Russians $20.7 million for the coveted seat.

Yi is a doctoral student in biosystems at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology University. Yi is expected to carry out science experiments at the International Space Station for 10 days. On April 12, Yi will host a traditional Korean "Kimchi dinner" in the International Space Station, in honor of the first Russian in space, Yuri Gagarin. Link

World's Oldest Person is 120 years old!

The age of World's Oldest Person is 120 years! A Palestinian woman claims she is 120 years old and she is the oldest person in the world. Mariam Amash, who lives in the predominantly Arab town of Jisr az-Zarqa in Israel claims that she is the oldest person in this world. In the picture above she holds her identity card with a birth date from 1888.

The discovery that she may be the oldest person in the world came by chance when she applied for a new Israeli identity card. The Israeli authorities issued the identity card based on a birth document issued by the Turkish authorities who ruled the region at the time.

"Yes, I am the oldest person in the world," she says. "I eat, I drink, and I take showers. I hope to keep going for another 10 years."

Mrs Amash says that the secret to her longevity is a healthy diet with lots of vegetables. According to relatives, Mrs Amash has 10 children, 120 grandchildren, 250 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Presently, the Guinness Book of Records lists 114-year-old Edna Parker of Shelbyville, Indiana, as the oldest person in the world. A spokesman for the Guinness Book of Records says they will consider Amash's claim if she can provide good evidence of her age.

High Heels Improves Women's Sex Life

Wearing higher heels may improve women's sex life, according to an Italian doctor. According to a BBC report, Dr Maria Cerruto, a urologist says 2ins high heels can help improve pelvic floor muscles. Dr Cerruto, is a lover of high heels and now wants to prove that they were not as bad for women's health as some doctors suggest.

Her study of 66 women under 50 found those who held their foot at a 15 degree angle to the ground - the equivalent of a two inch heel - had as good posture as those who wore flat shoes.

And, crucially, they showed less electrical activity in their pelvic muscles suggesting they were at an optimum position, which could improve their strength and ability to contract. Pelvic floor muscles assist sexual performance and satisfaction, and also provide vital support to the pelvic organs, which include the bladder, bowels and uterus.

Dr Cerruto said: "Women often have difficulty in carrying out the right exercises for the pelvic zone and wearing heels could be the solution." BBC

The Blind Wildlife Photographer

Alison Bartlett is a highly-acclaimed wildlife photographer, even though she is completely blind. We know that it is strange to hear! Take a look at the photograph, taken by Alison. The 51-year-old "sees" with her ears and listens out for the rustling in trees and grass to snap wildlife. Now her animal pictures will be exhibited in a New Milton exhibition, next month.

Alison was a horse riding instructor. She began to lose her sight in 1979 due to diabetes and it went completely in 1992. But she retained her passion for photography and wildlife. Alison is also helped out by a friend who accompanies her on shoots and points her towards the creatures using clock directions, such as "bird at two o'clock".


She has developed such an acute sense of hearing and can pick up the sound of a bird's wings flapping or a squirrel nibbling before homing in on them with her camera. Link

Normal woman with half a Brain!

A normal life with half brain! Doctors treating a Chinese woman who complained of feeling weak discovered she only had half a brain. The 39-year-old woman from Wuhan city, has lived a perfectly normal life and only came into hospital after she complained of feeling weak and stiff.

Zhang Linhong, director of Neural Rehabilitation Department at the local hospital, said: "On the MRI scans we were surprised to see that she only has grey matter on the right side. Our usual understanding is that the left brain controls language. But this patient has no problem communicating with people."

The woman's mother said her daughter lives a very normal life and her memory is very good.

"She graduated from high school with good marks. Her memory is very good. She remembers phone numbers and names immediately."

Women waits for Mr. Right after rejecting 150 proposals

A Serbian woman has turned down more than 150 marriage proposals because she has still not met her Mr Right. Milunka Dabovic, now aged 38, from Maskova in central Serbia still lives with her mum.

She got her first proposal when she was just 14-years-old and they have been coming ever since. She said: "I've had a lot of proposals and some of them won't take no for an answer, they even try to get my mother to try and convince me to accept.

"But the man I marry needs to be handsome and tall, needs to accept life here in our village - and must be a hard worker with a good heart." - Milunka Dabovic.

Woman offers breast milk for sell

A woman who doesn't want her breast milk to go to waste has taken out a newspaper ad in hopes of selling it. Martha Heller, 22, of Tiffin, took out the ad in The Gazette, offering 100 ounces of her breast milk for $200 or the best offer.

Heller said her freezer is overflowing with breast milk that she has pumped since August. Her 4-month-old daughter won't drink from a bottle and the supply is piling up.

Heller now donates to the University of Iowa's Mother's Milk Bank, but the 100 ounces of milk she wants to sell was pumped before going through the screening process for the bank and cannot be donated.

Linda Klein, a lactation consultant at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, said breast milk can generally be stored in a freezer for up to six months.

Heller said she hasn't received any legitimate calls about her ad. "There was one prank caller," she said. Link

Coca Cola vending machine Skirts

A new designer skirt, that protects you! Take a look at the images. This skirt helps the wearer to disguise as a Coca Cola machine! Ms Tsukioka, 29, the designer of this vending machine skirt hopes that it will help to ease women's fear of crime.


Ms Tsukioka unveiled her design in Tokyo. The wearer needs to lift a flap on the skirt, to expose a large sheet of cloth printed with the familiar bright red Coca Cola logo. The idea of this skirt was inspired by a trick used by Japanese ninjas, who cloaked themselves in black blankets so they couldn't be seen at night. A deluxe model of the skirt even boasts four sides for a more complete cover.

Ms Tsukioka said: "It is just easier for Japanese to hide. Making a scene would be too embarrassing."

She has already sold 20 of the £400 hand-sewn vending machine skirts. Now, she aims to market the design worldwide. Link

They're Not Twins!

Look at the babies. They are Ame and Lia, both are five-month-old, born to the same mother just minutes apart. But, they are not twins! They were conceived three weeks apart due to a million-to-one medical rarity known as superfetation. When doctors performed an emergency caesarean delivery on their mother Amelia Spence, Ame was born at 29 weeks and Lia at 32.

Miss Spence, 29, who lives in Glasgow said: "It is hard to get our heads around the fact that I was pregnant with two babies at the same time and they aren't twins."

Miss Spence became pregnant twice in three weeks while she was taking the contraceptive pill. It is just unbelievable.


Doctors have explained that hers is a rare case of superfetation, where the body carries on releasing more eggs for fertilisation after a pregnancy has already occurred. This occurs when eggs from two separate menstrual cycles are released, as opposed to normal non-identical twins where more than one egg is released in a single cycle. Link

Woman Gives Birth to 17-pound Baby

A Siberian woman gave birth to a massive 7.75 kg (17.1 lb) child. The baby (Nadia) was delivered by caesarean section in the local maternity hospital in the Altai region on September 17. The weight of Nadia is shocking for many. Take a look at the picture. According to World Health Organisation, the average weight for most healthy newborn babies is around 3.2 kg (7.06 lb).

"I ate everything, we don't have the money for special foods so I just ate potatoes, noodles and tomatoes," she told the reporter, adding that all her previous babies had weighed more than 5 kg. Link

The Guinness World Records lists a 10.2 kg baby boy born in Italy in 1955, and a 10.8 kg baby boy who was born in the United States in 1879 but died 11 hours later.

Formula for Perfect Breasts

A new formula for the perfect breasts! According to surgeon Patrick Mallucci, the model mammary apparently has a nipple that points slightly skywards, and an upper half just a bit smaller than the bottom half. Patrick Mallucci spent many hours poring over photos of topless models in lads magazines and tabloid newspapers to formulate his theory. In his opinion, the celebrity with the best pair is Caprice - and the woman with the worst is Posh Spice.

Mr Mallucci will reveal his findings at the first international conference on breast enlargement, to be held in London this week. In his lecture, titled Concepts in Design for Breast Augmentation, he will express the hope that his insights are used by surgeons providing breast enlargements. Breast Augmentation is Britain's most popular cosmetic surgery procedure, with 6,156 performed last year.

Mr Mallucci said: "I studied a wide variety of photographs of the most popular topless models to work out the various proportions they had in common and what made those particular features attractive. These findings allowed me to form a template around which to plan a breast augmentation, and set a standard of aesthetics.

He added: "All of the models I looked at conformed to these parameters. None of them were augmentedand yet they were clearly considered to have beautiful breasts, so I wanted to examine how that could be achieved in someone not so well-endowed by using an implant.


Mr Mallucci said the best breasts belong to the model Caprice Bourret - a view shared by many of his clients. He added that said patients frequently begged him not to make their breasts the same shape as Victoria Beckham's "unnaturally round" globes. Link
