Damien Hirst's doodle on napkin!

A doodle on a napkin by Damien Hirst fetched an incredible £18,000 at auction, last week. The ink sketch, on a square of linen from London's The Ivy restaurant, depicts Hirst's diamond-encrusted skull, which sold for £50million in August.

The artist donated the doodle, featuring steaming cups of coffee in the skull's eye sockets, to MacMillan Cancer Relief for its "coffee art" auction.

Onlookers described a "bidding frenzy" at the Arts Club in Mayfair before a private collector bought the napkin. via DailyMail
