Beyonce sued again for 'Baby Boy'

Last week, a panel of US Federal Court judges heard the appeal case of Jennifer Armour, who is alleging that the singer Beyonce used her lyrics in her hit song, 'Baby Boy'. According to Jennifer Armour, Beyonce took the lyrics from her own song, 'Got a Little Bit of Love For You'.

In the original trial, the judge ruled in Beyonce's favour stating that the two songs were "substantially dissimilar". But, Armour’s attorney Dana Kirk said that the case should be resurrected since a jury hearing was not conducted and also that an expert analysis shows that Beyonce Knowles’ upbeat ‘Baby Boy’ had similarities with her client’s demo. So, the case now continues in a three day trial which will be heard in the New Orleans-based 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals.
